Commonwealth & Development’s approach is based on our values of accountability, professionalism, integrity and ethics. Our implementation strategy incorporates the following core elements:
- Partnership – We intend to meet our objectives by collaborating closely with a range of other institutions (see next section).
- Facilitation – In the execution many of our planned activities, we will play the role of facilitator, both nationally and internationally.
- Participation – All projects will be planned, implemented and evaluated with the full participation of all stakeholders, to ensure that the ideas and desires of the target group are taken into consideration, and their needs and expectations are met.
- Sustainability – Our participatory approach will help ensure that our stakeholders are not just beneficiaries, but are agents for change in all developmental initiatives, thereby instilling in participants a long-term sense of belonging and ownership.
